About Calculator4u

Calculator4u.ai is a free collection of finance and health calculators built for people in India who want a straight answer before they talk to a bank, a mutual fund distributor or a doctor. You can work out the EMI on a home, car or personal loan, project a SIP or a fixed deposit, check income tax under the old and new regimes, or get your BMI, BMR and daily calorie needs - without creating an account, without giving us your phone number, and without a sales call afterwards.

The site is built and run by Ashirwad Infotech, a software development company based in Surat, Gujarat. We started it in 2025 because the calculators we kept sending to friends and clients were either buried inside a bank's marketing pages or wrapped in lead-capture forms. We wanted one place where the maths is visible, the assumptions are stated, and the result is yours to keep.

Every calculator uses the standard published formula for that product - the reducing-balance EMI formula that Indian banks use, compound-interest maths for FDs and SIPs, the income-tax slabs notified for the relevant financial year, and WHO categories for BMI. The formula is shown on the page next to the calculator, with a worked example, so you can check our arithmetic yourself.

Interest rates pre-filled in the calculators are indicative defaults that we review and update periodically from lenders' public rate cards and RBI announcements. They are a starting point, not an offer. Your actual rate depends on your credit profile, the lender, and the date - which is why every calculator lets you type in the rate you were quoted.

When we change a formula, a default rate or a tax slab, we note the "updated on" date on the page. Our full process, including how we handle corrections, is in the editorial policy.

Astik Gabani - founder of Ashirwad Infotech and the developer behind Calculator4u. Astik designs the calculation engine, maintains the rate and tax-slab data, and writes or reviews every explainer on the site. He has spent the last several years building web and mobile products for finance, retail and services businesses in Gujarat, which is where the idea of a calculator that "shows its working" came from.

Calculator4u Editorial Team - a small group of developers and writers at Ashirwad Infotech who draft the guides, test each calculator against bank statements and official tax examples, and keep the FAQs current. Articles are published under Astik's byline because he signs off on every one; where a guide has a specialist contributor, we say so on the page.

We are not a bank, an NBFC, a SEBI-registered investment adviser or a medical provider, and we do not sell any financial or health product. If a calculator result matters to a decision you are about to make, confirm it with the lender, a qualified adviser or your doctor.

Calculator4u is free to use and is paid for by advertising served through Google AdSense. Ads are clearly separated from calculator results and article content, and no advertiser has any say in what a calculator returns or what a guide recommends. We do not accept payment for placement in our comparison tables or for recommending a lender.
